I have been an Independent Contractor Insurance agent with State Farm 37 years. My State Farm agent career has been spent in the historical town of Hillsborough in Orange County NC. I consider myself a "forever student" of insurance and financial services. Knowledge and determination allow us to help our customers manage their insurance and financial services needs.

I am a graduate of Wingate College (Wingate University). Go Bulldogs! As a first generation college graduate, I knew early on that a small moment of helping others can make a big impact.

I have been happily married to my wife of 40 years. My wife and I are parents to two wonderful kids and enjoy three beautiful granddaughters! Our family also includes a GoldenDoodle pup named "Buoy" and three grand pups named "Troxie", "Dottie" and "Shaggy". Favorite past time...visiting with family in Roxboro (Person County), Raleigh NC (Wake County), and Greensboro North Carolina (Guilford County), Exploring trails in the Triangle and Triad area, and the highs and lows of a round of golf.

The Ashby Insurance Agency team is involved in the community through various sponsorships and events. Our volunteer activities include, The Hillsborough Exchange Club, The Hillsborough / Orange County Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross Blood Drives, and many more.
